Sauna swing

The rocking chair for the terrace, balcony or sauna porch is the latest adult swing production of rocking furniture. The rocking furniture has a model protection for the product in question and two patents have been obtained for the rocking mechanism.

Preparation of bearing and spring swings

Our spring swings include the traditional Karoliina, decorated with decorative turns, and the smaller ones Kehro and Kokko. The Sauna swing also swings with the help of springs. Spring swings are closer to traditional andice swings. Their legs are very short and are attached by means of springs to a rack on which they swing. In our spring swings, the upper and lower parts are surface treated separately, after which they are attached to each other with springs. In Karolina and Koko, we use a footrest that can be rotated with levers, which is easy to turn away from the road if necessary. In the cradle, the footrest is fixed.

Staining and base coating

Because of all these individually surface-treated parts, staining is a work that requires a precise eye for colour, as the parts must be of the same hue and consistency. In dark colors, the parts are stained first, and then the base is varnished. In light colors, the stain is mixed directly with the base varnish. After drying, the swings are sanded, and at the end a surface varnish is applied. We use durable varnishes from Tikkurila and Becker to create a beautiful matte glossy lacquer surface. We treat sauna swings with moisture-resistant wood oil. We recycle metal waste from surface treatment materials.

Upholstery

After assembly, upholstery is attached to the swings. Spring swings have a plywood base under the upholstery, which makes it easier to get out of the chair. Our bearing springs have a pleasantly flexible spring base. We make our upholstery as domestic subcontracting. The upholstery is filled with foam that retains its elasticity for a long time, and as upholstery fabrics, we use beautiful Finnish Annala fabrics, among other things. Upholstery designed for outdoor spaces is made of fireproof fabrics with moisture protection. Our carefully crafted swings are the result of solid craftsmanship, consideration of the environment and appreciation of Finnish expertise.
